We had a lovely Sunday walk around the coast to Red Rocks a few weeks ago. The weather was fine and still and we even spotted a seal.

The other night when making dinner using Bok Choy I remembered reading about making prints using celery. The end of the vegetable made such a neat pattern . Here are my ‘Rose’ prints using Bok Choy:
They were quite fun. Something to try again I think - maybe on fabric too.

Spotted at the ‘Fill the Basin’ for Christchurch fundraiser – Sir Ian McKellan (Gandalf LOTR) , Bob Parker -Mayor of Christchurch and Richie McCaw – All Blacks Captain.
We had a great time – nobody cared who won the game , saw lots of Hobbits , film stars and cricket and sporting stars. It was a very positive place to be supporting Christchurch.
On the Rigid Heddle loom at the moment I have been experimenting with various weave structures and patterns:
